So what are you guys going to get for your wives or girlfriends, as a present for Christmas?

An MP3 player of some sort.
Some goofy gifts like playdough.
Some assorted DVD's.
And like always before hand some more hallmark miniature ornaments.

This is not really true.
If you want your wife or GF to remember your attention - you need to present her something, not money which she will spend out and forget that you gave her something for the holiday.
I remember every gift from my husband. Care about it, because i know that he spend time choosing it and thinking about me.

I got her a tiffany bracelet last year, not to sure yet about this year

I dont know yet, and she has a bday coming up dec 17th so I have to get gifts for then also

I have to agree with you there. Rings are harder to break off or lose. I have had a ring my boyfriend gave me from 5 years ago. I never take it off. :)

i wish...that's one thing i really really miss about my ex-wife...she LOVED gift certificates so she could use them after Xmas and get even more for the money. anyone i've been with since then, including my gf, think it's the worst gift possible - and i HATE trying to figure out what to get :(

But seriously, on a true story note, a buddy of mine, for Christmas a few years ago got his pregnant wife a scale. His logic was: a) They didn't have a lot of money to spend on presents and b) They needed a scale. Man was she pissed off - her exact quote was "you've got to be fucking kidding me." The funny part is he didn't see this would be a problem.

I'm thinking that a vacation somewhere nice would be the perfect gift.God knows we both need it much.
