forum and hosting question

What do you you think i should look for?
I would love to start one and hopefully have alot of traffic so i was wondering what the minimum standards of hosting should be?
thanks

Well, to be honest, you can probably start with a small virtual account, then expand as (if) necessary.

Starting a success forum isn't as easy as it sounds.

i have a forum hosted on www.servage.net (7.95$ per month) and it's running pretty good.
but if you are talking about a real big forum you might look into dedicated for that (the db server is your main bottleneck)

so basically, ill start from the lowest my host has to offer then rise up to my needs
i know if this idea will work out i wont have alot of visitors for a while but once i know what im doing i will buy traffic

You can even start from a freehosting account and move up from there

Just find a hosting service that is scalable and upgrade as needed. Eventually you will need your own CPU which basically is a dedicated server.

We have this: www.dwhs.com :thumbsup

recycled: start with an affordable virtual hosting package for cheap, then your host can easily upgrade to meet your needs. :pimp
