A week ago i received the following reply to my email from Paymonde,

Code:

Dear Merchant,

I have received your email requesting your access to your account be restored and you money sent.
We are working very hard to take care of all of you! We understand you are upset in these delays and
the lock out of the merchant control panel. This was done to try and control massive chargeback's.
Resulting in no one everyone ever getting money from the bank! We will update you with new access
to the back end in a couple of days. Once you receive the access this means funding will follow.

Once again we are very sorry for all of this.

It seems they are just sending out the exact same reply to everyone, anyone else received this reply? It has been more then "a couple of days" since i received this reply from them and i still have not received access to the back end. They seem to be stalling me...

Has anyone received their payment recently?

So.. for a company that has closed their doors (allegedly), the CEO has now admitted the doors are closed only to his clients and avoiding them and website customers doing legitimate chargebacks.

I did not receive that e-mail, nor have I received any money. I guess they have gotten tired of giving me excuses.

As for e-mail, do a search. I was writing directly to Howie.

i got that email from howard on wednesday or tuesday night and havent heard anything since. at least theyre making SOME contact with us, although it isn't the best, it is something. I'm just going to continue on with everything i have been after re: legal action until i see the cash or can even log in.

i DEFINITELY disagree with anyone saying chargebacks is the way to go... if that happens then getting our money will go to a 0% chance since there wont be any money to give should paymonde be planning to give any at any time.

The only people getting paid are the big playas, medium fish, and then Howie's buddies, or those within driving distance.

Most of the small fries are NEVER going to get paid.

We are not a big player, medium player, or a friend. They still have 1,700 of ours. We are however in Ottawa, so that might have something to do with it, but I doubt it..

Nope, just waited. To be honest I did not think anything would ever come of it. But I thought, I have nothing more to lose, so I sent the email to him.

He replied back, a day later with the first email, then the next one came 3 days after that. Payment came 4 days after the second email.

My belief is if I ranted about the situation, it would only be human nature to not want to do anything for that person. I just asked a few questions, and pretty much wrote the money off. Anything I get back from them, I just see as an early Christmas Gift.

I do count myself very lucky, and I hope others have the same luck.

In defence of Howard Cohen and Paymonde
 
I joined GFY so that I could speak in defence of Howard Cohen and Paymonde.

When Paymonde went out of business and I read all the negative comments in this and other forums I was resigned to losing the $1300 Paymonde owed me.

However, I mailed Howard Cohen (more in hope than expectation) to ask if I could expect to receive any part of my money. I got a reply within a few hours and shortly after Howard told me he would make an immediate payment to me. Within 2 days, $400+ was paid into my bank account and Howard tells me he will pay me the balance within a few weeks. I'm confident he will honour this undertaking.

It's plain to me that Howard Cohen is an honest and honourable man who is doing his best to meet his obligations to webmasters. He certainly doesn't deserve the defamation and abuse he's been subjected to in GFY :thumbsup

But as you are lucky, and received your money. I do not hold it against you. However, do not come in here defending this fraud.

It's nice to see some people have been paid, while others haven't.

If you followed all of the threads, and read direct e-mails from Howard, and refusal to provide access to everyone to get into their control panels, and then to go so far as to say he is not paying for a minimum of 6 months to some people (amung other things) then you are one self centered person.

One thing that turns my stomach in this, is while some people have received payments, they love to come into iMonde threads and flaunt, or taunt those who haven't. A lot of us still have not received access to our CP's, or a dime.

It's a sick sad thing in this industry, and probably a bigger society issue. Where those who got their payment from Cohen enjoy doing their na-na-na-na to the rest.

Actually it's about as childish as Cohen's e-mails which were posted to me, which were posted in this thread...

My only reason for posting here was to demonstrate from my own experience that Howard Cohen is acting in good faith. If not, why would he make a payment to a small time webmaster like me, with no legal or financial clout? Maybe it was because my 1st mail to him was polite rather than threatening and abusive. If you wrote to Howard Cohen as rudely as you replied to my post, I'm not surprised that you've had to wait longer than I have for payment.

Hmmm...well my email to Mr Cohen could not have been more politely worded, yet despite this, I was not even lucky enough to recieve a reply, let alone access to my admin or (heaven forbid) money owed to me that I earnt.
The day I recieve any of the funds owed to me, I'll be here ltting others in the same boat as I that there is hope.
Until then, the complete lack of information from Paymonde or their representatives leaves them wide open to attack and the subject of rumour.
If Mr Cohen was to email us all with information on the likelyhood of whether or not we'll be paid and when,it would put to rest the speculation that Mr Cohen finds so damaging to his reputation.
That is the honourable thing to do, let a lone the right business decision should he and other Paymonde employees wish a future in this business.
One things I have learnt from GFY is...adult webmasters have long memories.

Those same people he has declared in previous correspondance will get their payments last because they were not patient on the boards will be the same one's who will hound his ass any where he shows up in this business. Much as you see in some of the iBill threads.

The sad thing is that if Howie would have paid off the witch hunt people. He probably could have saved his reputation instead of paying off the programs, his friends, and people within driving distance.

His T.O.S. threat wouldn't hold water if someone took iMonde to court. He broke that once he locked me/you/we out of our control panels, and cut off access.

So in the end, the same people will haunt him, or any company, he shows up at.

There will not be any money at his 6 month threat. He knows this.

That's bullshit. Acting in good faith would have been howard cohen:

1) acting transparently and honestly from day one. Not LYING to your customers by telling them that processing problems were due to bank 'technical problems'. This made everyone think that things were normal. Things were NOT normal over there. They had NO PROBLEMS lying to you about the REAL state of affairs over there...
2) paying people (or notpaying people) equally. No one deserves special treatment...every merchant has the right to be paid. We can call howard whatever the fuck we want, and this doesn't give him he right to keep our money.

Once again, Fuck you Howarc Cohen, Joey Bransky (new owner of Funds2Go, a company which he purchased from Howard Cohen/Paymonde to protect their assets/distance Funds2go from the PAymonde collapse) and Norton Burah...You guy are lying thieves, and Karma catches up to everybody eventually...:2 cents:

My Hosting company called, want their server fee but Howard is holding it
My utility company called, they want to shut my electric because I didnt pay the bill because Howard has the money
My son keeps asking if he will get the PSP I promised him for Christmas and that I know he will not get because Howard has my money.

While I strugle to put food on the table, Howard is having a blast with my money and others like me.
