The article just reaffirms that what I think is "hot / cool / money worthy" on the "interwebs" is usually far beyond what 99% of the population surfing the web thinks. Believe it or not, I actually got an email today about SEO in Second Life, and setting up your own business in the virtuall world.
Pontiac, Dell, Nissan, Reuters, Sony, BMG, and Adidas and a few other companies have set up shop.
The email says $500,000 a day trades hands in Second Life.

Theres also another one called Entropia Universe. They have an ATM card (works in over 1 million ATM's worldwide) that you can use to withdraw real cash money from your Entropia Account, from income you have made in their world.

This is gonna be the next big thing. I've been racking my brains for a while, trying to find something completely virtual that has value. Something which people are willing to pay real cash for.

For example, it would be cool if the guy on milliondollarhomepage let people trade the spots. They would be worth a lot more now, and he could charge a 10% transfer fee to make some extra income.
