Band.com for 250k
 

Correct me if I'm wrong but I remember that somebody from here bought the domain for 45k a few years ago.

well its the asking price, not actual sale amount...

I know...anyway I think it is worth more than the 45k I remember...of course not sure about the 250k...

For that price it's one of those names that domain traders will pay for while actual developers scratch their heads wondering why.

Shuki bought it from DomBuyer two years ago for $25,000.

i think it could sell for an easy 100k...

Thats the highest rejected offer from afternic which is not where I would say is the most quality place to sell a domain name. It is just up there because why not...if someone will pay my price then fine.

Let's just say that I regret selling it for $25k like I'll regret selling eject.com for $35k, but when you're in it, you think it's the right thing. :1orglaugh :helpme

And for the person that said bands.com is better, not really. I had a crack at that one to buy for $100k last year, but I passed and would have taken band.com back for that price. iReit picked up bands instead, but the guy who sold it had a tough time getting anything for it.

Either way, shuki's done well, since he's got about $2M worth of domains and it's not even his primary business. :thumbsup

I agree with Dombuyer about Bands.com and not just because I own Band.com :)

Some names are better in the singular and some are better as the plural. This name in my opinion is best used in the singular tense.

Yeh you got a good deal on that name, I am sure you will get your asking price or close to it. Well worth 250k in my opinion..

Domains are realestate and band.com will only be worth more and more as each yr. passes.
