Christmas has never had anything to do with Jesus or Christianity for that matter. The early Christian church hijacked Candlemas a wonderful pagan celebration of the mid winter solstice.

So, it's perfectly ok to celebrate Christmas even if you are not Christian.

i have no real religion, my father was catholic, my mother is luthern, i believe in ghosts and all that crap, but i just don't believe jesus walked on water, thats impossible, and the myth busters proved it!

I celebrate it but don't believe in the religous stuff. I still think it's a good holiday. The family part is good and it's a chance for everyone to get together. While I think there are a lot of bad parts about religion, I think the holiday is good for society.

It's ok, Christmas is not a true Christian holiday. It can't be, according to their "laws" they can ONLY celebrate days that Jesus specified, but they rarely (if ever) follow their own rules, so oh well.

Same with Easter. Both were taken from Pagan holidays, to help convert the suckers.

To me... xmas is more about being surrounded by loved ones and good friends, sharing in good times together.

Christmas is just a familly holiday. Very warm, nice with presents and tree.

Since all ‘evidence’ gathered about Jesus seems to point that he definitely was not born in or around December, using Christmas to celebrate his birth is just a façade because we all know what Christmas is really about: presents and eating fatty foods. I am not a Christian but I put up a christmas tree etc and do the Christmas thing for my kids. I don't really see how that's hypocritical, though, because Christmas was NOT CHRIST'S birthday, but a rip on a pagan holiday, Yule. The Christian Church decided sometime during the dark ages that it was easier to adopt and "Christianize" pagan holidays than it was to enforce their own. Even proper "Christians" would NOT celebrate Christmas because they felt it was a PAGAN holiday. So all the Christians that have their panties in a bunch over your "hypocrasy" should go home and look in the mirror, or perhaps just do a little research.
