Whats the difference between these two signups?
 

Ok so I was checking my NATS affiliate account with an unnamed sponsor yesterday and I noticed that I had a sale but it was only for $10. I looked and it said "Save Sale".

Can anyone please tell me why you get less for a bookmark'd signup than a direct signup?

some sponsors have a popup at the very end, so that if the person doesn't join, they offer a membership at a discounted rate

I'd guess that's what it is too. I have a couple sponsors where every so often a rebill comes up for half the amount of a normal rebill. When I asked why, they said it's a last minute offer they make to someone trying to cancel. They'll give them a discounted month to stay on.

I would say a program using a "save sale" technique is working hard to make you money... more power to them.
