It's convenient having sound on around the office, to know when a new email comes in or instant message.
It's inconvenient having sound on around the office when some stupid banner starts playing music at random times while people are trying to work.

I just close my GFY window when the sound accidentally comes on from that banner. alt+f4 is quicker than pressing f5 to refresh for a new banner that doesn't make annoying sounds. heh.

Saves time too, more time working less time surfing GFY :)

I like the Arab banner it's funny even after 10 times it's still entertaining.

When I see a site that advertises with a banner with sound, that immediately tells me not to do business with that particular site.
