my server was hacked, need some wordpress help please
Hello, my server was hacked and all my domains had spyware blasted on them.
I have removed it from my sites which arent blogs, but.... I have 4 domains which are wordpress blogs and need to remove this code from them I am not very familar with wordpress and was wondering where inside the admin I could access the whole index file so I could delete the maliscious code. I tried to post this on the wordpress support forums but that isnt working for me and says topic closed the moment i put it on there thanks. |
wp-content/themes/THEMEDIR
index is within that directory not sure if that helps |
presentation, then theme editor. Look through your files there for the code.

That sucks, man.
You had better figure out how it was hacked in the first place or it won't do much good to remove the code...it will just happen again. :2 cents: |
check your config file ( in the root of the domain ). Quite often, commands are added in that file to attain their goal. chmod that file to 644.
The easiest would be to backup all your databases ( for security ) and do a fresh reinstall of WP, patches... Just edit your config to go to the database. |
That sucks man. Hope you get it fixed soon. And definitely find out where the hole is on your server...
