9/11 and My 2 Cents
 

The history channel is having some special on it today. Some interesting stories.

My personal belief however is that if some muslims tried that shit again on any commercial flight, they would be bum rushed by just about every male on the plane except the cowards.

Not this again. Britian had terrorism for 30 years. Most if it Americans paid for. Get over it. Its sad, it happened, now move on.

People, there is no expectation of safety OR freedom in this world anymore. Live every day like it's your last because it very well could be! Love your friends and family, make time for fun, treat people with respect and dignity whether they deserve it or not, and be wise with the Earth's resources.

When you look back on your life, do you want to see a person who lived completely selfishly, or lived in fear, or do you want to see a person who was happy and productive in spite of less-than-perfect circumstances?

Not on the scale of 9/11.

I believe, if I am not mistaken, that the three planes that crashed into the buildings, they had no idea that they were about to crash into a building, so they didn't "bum rush" but on the 4th plane they got word of what was happening, and they did in fact "bum rush", and the plane crashed killing everyone.

So, should we just assume that everytime a plane it hijacked it is gonna be flown into a building or used to kill many thousands, therefore sacrifice the life of everyone on that plane? What if you were wrong and it wasnt going to be used for that? It's a hard call to make.

I think they should put a light, similar to the fasten your seatbelt light, called the "Bum Rush" light. When that goes on, the captain has received info that we're all gonna die anyway, so it's time to get it on with some terrorist ass.

Prior to 9/11 you're right, noone (uh, almost noone I suppose) would have expected planes to be used as missiles.

Post 9/11 I think it's safe to assume if they hijack and insert their own pilot, they have motives other than landing and negotiating. Prior hijackings that I'm aware of, they instructed the pilots on what to do. But, there's NO way they could instruct a pilot to fly into a building, so they'd have to use their own "pilots". If the original pilot comes on and tells you to be calm, I'd listen. If the hijackers take control and tell you to be calm, I'd say that's probably a time to act.

When was the last time you were in an airplane?

When a group of people of the same nationality get up, walk towards the cabin, and do whatever with box cutters... do you not think SOMEONE saw them? I have been on enough flights to notice that if someone was up by the cabin if you are in the front of the plane... people are going to notice.

It's easy for you to say you know what they were gonna do, cuz that's exactly it, you know now what they were gonna do.

The only reason the 4th plane attacked the terrorists is because THEY KNEW WHAT WAS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. Passengers on their cellphones were being told what was happening.

No we just had it relentlesly for 30 odd years. And we had the country pay for it that is now all high and mighty against terrorism. Bill Clinton even entertained Gerry Adams, who admits links to the IRA and claimed to be their "political wing".

For America to get hurt by terrorists after supporting it in Ireland, you could say they got what they deserved.

Got total sympathy for all who were killed on 9/11 and their familes and friends.

That has nothing to do with the the idiots whining about 9/11 when their own nation are the biggest terrorist/insurgency group on the planet with a disgusting track record of invading other nations for centuries, instigating, supporting and fuelling terror regimes worldwide, involved in killing/overturning democratically elected leader of other countries, attempting to bribe electorates of other nations, actively involved in torture and training others in torture techniques, drug dealing, assassinations, mass killing/bombing of innocent people and hell knows what else.

And... that was before the self-elected unwinable "war on terrorism'.

For the simple-minded - the deaths on 9/11 were but a grain of sand in comparison to the killings and damage done in your name, so spare me the stupid "Not on the scale of 9/11" utter bullshit.

Sow the seed and you will get the fruits of that seed - the choice of seed is one of those freedoms where you can elect the avenue you choose to follow.

PS Don't forget to thank your government for their role in training torturers and death sqauds miles away from Iraq, in Guatamala, and give some thought to the group of women in that country who owe their deaths this year (and previous years) to the expertise, training and support of good old USA. Think of it like this. America moans about wmd - their the ONLY country to have used a nuke in anger! They complain about terrorists, yet "Friends of Sinn Fein" are still allowed to raise fund in the USA, despite the fact that the only ally you have, who truly supported you after 9/11, has known for years that FOSF paid for bombs that got dopped on London.

I think you read the post i said America got what they deserved and i also state in the next post that i have every sympathy with the individual victims, and dont hate americans but i do detest the government of the usa.
