After Shock Media 12-12-2006 04:42 PM

That is a terrible idea done on a computer. It is deffinatly not the direction ford needs to take to turn around.

Sosa 12-12-2006 04:45 PM

thats fucking ugly

Penthouse Tony 12-12-2006 04:47 PM

i think it's ugly

shekinah 12-12-2006 04:51 PM

It looks just fine for me:)

StarkReality 12-12-2006 04:53 PM

Looks like a wannabe hummer copy gone wrong if you ask me...

aico 12-12-2006 04:58 PM

they should sell the designs to a company that knows how to make cars

Peaches 12-12-2006 04:58 PM

I like the old 70's Broncos. Dated a guy who had one - this was back in the days when if you wanted to put it into 4WD, you got out and turned the things on the wheels manually :)

This concept was actually developed and presented at a couple of autoshows :)

I dont think its a bad direction at all tho. Ford has already embraced retro styling with the new Mustang and previously with the Thunderbird. Add that to the fact that American car manufacturers have been losing a lot of SUV sales to the Germans and Japaneses, mix that with the rugged trend and popularity the of Hummer H2, H3, Toyota FJ cruiser, etc... and then take into consideration how ugly the new explorer and expedition are and how ford dosnt have a two-door SUV in their line up.... this may not be such a bad idea for ford. dont you think?

cool1 12-12-2006 05:15 PM

Ugly yes, but in black it would be great for use in the snow

needlive 12-12-2006 05:24 PM

This car seems pretty nice to me...

FunkyDog 12-12-2006 05:26 PM

Nice, VERY nice.

I wish I did but alas I do not.

I know Ford needs to continue its F series trucks and a few other models of vehicles. However I really feel they need to pull their ass out of the SVU market and maybe specialize in alternate fuel vehicles. Then use what pull via lobbiest they still have or can muster, and have it become a requirement that all Government vehicles run on alternate fuels or hybrids.

Though if I had the sure fire answer for ford, I would be making a lot more money than I am now.

Aren't they the only US auto company that has a hybrid SUV?

Well if they are they could keep that as well. I just feel they should push alternate fuel/hybrids and specialize. Then of course leverage the US Government.

Lykos 12-12-2006 06:06 PM

sharp 12-12-2006 06:09 PM

Thats a good point and I dont think its a longshot for ford to pull that off. But at the same time I dont see ford pulling out of the SUV market.

I knew you would have an interesting reason behind your opinion :thumbsup

Big Red Machine 12-12-2006 06:46 PM

That looks alot better than Toyotas throw back to the FJ

Supz 12-12-2006 07:23 PM

RF_Erick 12-12-2006 07:49 PM

Cool looking.
American car makers need to start making more appealing cars. They wonder why they are going bankrupt.

They are going bankrupt due to retirement plans, medical plans, and other elements that goes into the cost of each vehicle they make. Why do you think ford is buying out employees jobs?
