Fucking kids . . .

no Brad, I am not talking about you . . . this time.

As I have mentioned before, my daughter works with DCFS. She happens to work in a very nice area, and even rich people have issues that result in her being called out.

Today was one of those days.

The family lives on The Strand, in Manhattan Beach, and is in divorce proceedings.

Mom drinks a lot, and uses scripts (drug of choice when you have money). As a result, kids are living with dad.

When they were a family unit, there were maids, and nanny's, now there isn't. Dad actually makes the teenage girls do chores (gasp!). He is a tyrant. </sarcasm>

Anyway, kids called the cops because dad was making them "do everything" and he yells. Never hit, abused threatened, just acted like a dad.

Today the teens told my daughter they would rather stay in a homeless shelter.

I told her she should grant their wish. Go to their school, pull them out of class, and drop them off.

She seems to agree. Hopefully she will be calling me tomorrow saying she followed thru.

I say the over and under is 15 minutes before these spoiled, rich white girls have had enough and are pleading to go home.

What do you think? Can they last 15 minutes with poor, runaways?

tASSy 12-12-2006 09:15 PM

i lived in a homeless shelter when i was a kid with my mum briefly. 15 minutes and rich white bitches will be crying. :2 cents:

MaddCaz 12-12-2006 09:16 PM

takes special kinda people to deal with that

Sosa 12-12-2006 09:20 PM

cool1 12-12-2006 09:34 PM

They may last long enough for the old wino pervert to approach them.
There is always at least 1 ...lol

I think every kid should have to do chores. And instead of parents buying the kids "stuff", they could earn a little money through chores and buy what they want. A great way to teach fiscal responsibility, a good work ethic, and how the real world works.

When I was young I was only bought "stuff" on birthdays and Christmas. Everything else I bought what money that I earned or saved. Turns out, I'm pretty good with money. Now my brother is a totally different story. "Stuff" was bought for him, he burned every dollar he had the second he got it, and never really had to work for anything. He's HORRIBLE with money. Been working part time for years and still doesn't have his own car. And the list goes on.

Kudos to the dad. He's trying to teach mommy's angels a valuable life lesson, probably half the reason they want a divorce. "You expect too much from the kids!"

Wiggles 12-12-2006 09:37 PM

haha i'd love to see them at the homeless shelter!

Beejeebers 12-12-2006 09:38 PM

That's not the kids fault, it's the idiot fucking parents who raised them that way.

BigCashCrew 12-12-2006 10:46 PM

Those sound like some shitty kids.

tehHinjew 12-12-2006 10:55 PM

I think it's not the government's place to be taking children away from a parent that's not abusive.

If the parents want to teach their children a lesson, that's their prerogative. It's not the government's place to temporarily remove legal authority and decision making from parents to "prove a point" to the children.

:2 cents:

Well, as the government is involved because of alcohol and drug abuse by the mother, and the fact that the kids are calling the cops on the dad for making them do stuff, it is completely within their right.

Agree. Let them taste it.

Przemek 12-13-2006 01:24 AM

Common spoiled children, like most in these days...

who 12-13-2006 01:32 AM

Fucked up kids in a fucked up country in a fucked up world.

There's nothing anybody can do.

kane 12-13-2006 02:07 AM

I think they would be okay until they were either approached by someone that they thought was creepy, found themselves in a bad situation or got hungry and actually had to do something to get food. That could take 5 minutes, might take a few hours.

Either way I don't think they make it a day.

Scott McD 12-13-2006 02:21 AM

Yup, send them !

For xmas all they will want is dad back... :1orglaugh

Sexsitesurfer 12-13-2006 02:28 AM

But obviously the parents weren't firm enough with these biatches in the beginning... They should always have had chores, not just because the dad doesn't pay for maids any more....

biftek 12-13-2006 03:02 AM

well atleast its a good thing that the brats didn't scream that he was molesting them

Vitasoy 12-13-2006 03:28 AM

No doubt they should be taken and given a taste of reality. Maybe they'll see how fortunate they really are.

chemicaleyes 12-13-2006 03:40 AM

Coming from a family with 40 odd years experience in social work, I don't think your daughter should be talking to you about confidential case work and really don't think you should be posting it on GFY. It's always a possibility that someone knows you or of your daughter or the family being talked about.

chemicaleyes 12-13-2006 03:40 AM

On another note.. send 'em to the shelter.

en21 12-13-2006 04:09 AM

reality course... I would say
