If you so worried about directnic lets start are own register!

It's about 80k and DWHS has the resource to get approved. What u think? Shall start the stock holders view. Just not the extra 80k plus the 30k to design the software. Although there is one partner that has a big chunk ready.

you misspelled the thread title, not the best start... ;)

or an even better idea is use one of the 15000 other registers that arent fuckups.

heh I was referring to "are own " instead of "our own" :winkwink:

anyway, I don't see how starting a new registrar would help in any way, there asre many of reputable ones already

In case they jump on the bandwagon, and yes people misspell on forums allot. Get used to it.

There are a good number of registrars globally chaze - and some of their pricings are very competitive. Who knows if this is a one-off or the start of a trend? If it is a trend, it's not going to apply to registrars outside US territory (they'd be in court the following day) and may be just as easy for US webmasters to use foreign registrars?

If, by chance, and doubt it - tho hell knows, this is an underhand method of the US govt putting pressure on registrars instead of ICANN, (this is a sensitive issue with many countries who have .TLD's), ICANN itself will prob be changing in the forseeable future and be controlled, prob from Switzerland by a Council representing all nations. Again.. that can have it's problems tho :)
