I just got screwed out of $150 hard earned dollars. Sigh...
Customers always get all bitchy about paying upfront for PHP programming or design work, and they always bitch and whine about Coders and designers coming up with every excuse in the book as to why the work isn't done.
Well, folks, I'm not here to name names or list websites, but I just got screwed over once again; this time it was $150, and I worked more than I should have for it. Hooray for non-payment. From now on, everything is going to be paid upfront, because I end up doing the work for nothing. |
Happy holidays :)

perharps you should choose clients more carefully. Me for example, I contacted you to have some work done and you said you would get back to me but never did

Was this person fairly reputable?
I wouldn't pay any programmer 100% upfront except someone I already know and trust. Very rarely have I got what I needed in a timely fashion. I have a couple guys I can typically go to, but they never ask for payment upfront. Why would I come to somebody I don't know and pay the full amount? Its a catch 22 really, thats why its important to build a good reputation for delivering promises on time and for paying on time. |
