13 cranes up right now in Bellevue. One collapsed already (into my building) and one other one was taken down after finding more cracked welds and fatigued metal. ... i guess we'll soon know how well the others were inspected.

I wish I could find this picture of Mercer Street...Its a road that goes to the edge of downtown...

There is an abandoned BMW literally floating around in the road right now :error

Holy shit. ya thats fucked up..

DateDoc 12-15-2006 12:47 AM

It is starting to get windy all the way down here. Supposed to pass through over night with 60+ mph winds. They already closed 395 in the Washoe Valley to trailers (trucks) and campers because of the wind down there but it always blows hard there as the wind screams down the Sierra-Nevada.

Have you seen this? Hear it.

I'm close to Vancouver and just today we had sun, rain, hail, monsoon winds, and 3" of slushy slippery snow. I was almost in an accident picking my kids up from school. The sky IS falling.

Catalyst 12-15-2006 01:25 AM

have you seen that show? is it any good

Kassidy 12-15-2006 01:33 AM

What 'show'? An Inconvenient Truth? It's an eye-opening documentary. Manic weather in the last few years? You bet.

Centurion 12-15-2006 01:34 AM

Gusts now up to 60 mph in downtown Seattle.
And guess what..there's a CRANE in the heart of downtown Seattle they are worried about. OH BROTHER! :(

Star 69 12-15-2006 01:57 AM

Oh, to bad to hear that. Climate is changing

i almost feel like my building is gonna fall over

Bdiddy 12-15-2006 05:15 AM

sounds pretty crazy...glad im not there at the moment

spider_x 12-15-2006 05:21 AM

Godammit. Earlier thursday i was siting in traffic thinking look at this flowing waves of rain, this Vancouver city is going to go underwater. Cars will be floating by soon...
In other news, Thursday was the predicted day for the major solar storm. You can blame the sun for all this mayhem. Electromagnetic proton force is driving those winds, or billions of watts of directed energy from Steve HAARPer's asshole. Oops did I misspell that?
