Google Partners With Go Daddy to Screw Black Hat SEO

I am not sure how many people here are familiar with black hat seo. But let me tell you what this means ? now Google will have deep data off all the URL?s a individual owns and can relate domains to distinguish site theme along mutable domains per register whether it be owner or company. So now if you run black hat and white hat sites on separate IP?s Google can now tie them together and discredit your white hat sites for also owning black hat sites. Matt Cutts was over heard talking about this method at a recent convention.

sicone 12-15-2006 07:04 PM

good.. fuck the cheaters

paypaler 12-15-2006 07:06 PM

I agree but some of those cheaters bring alot of search engine traffic to alot of affiliate programs in the adult industry.

You do know that Google has been a registrar for over a year now right? They've had this data for much longer than when their partnership with Go Daddy began.

jesus, I wish people would stop posting that article...that happened a few weeks ago and most terms have relevant porn terms in the index again

unocash 12-15-2006 07:26 PM

This will certianly be interesting.. ppl still want their porn..

What about other search engines?

Matt 26z 12-15-2006 07:47 PM

Black hat SEO's are theifs, plain and simple. They exploit weaknesses in the system to steal spots from legit websites. I'm talking about the guys who base their entire business around exploiting Google. These people collectively steal more money from you in one day than Zango does in a year.

Angry Jew Cat - Banned for Life 12-15-2006 08:00 PM

what exactly is blackhat seo?

paypaler 12-15-2006 08:10 PM

Black hat SEO is Search Engine Optimazation for hackers that use XSS cross site scripting, Cloaking, Parasite Hosting, Link dumping and many more.... methods to gain top rankings in search engines.

PR_Sebas 12-15-2006 08:13 PM

Seems to me that they are fucking over alot of sites.

Nasty 12-15-2006 08:21 PM

Google has had the ability to get info on private domains for quite some time, google it, lots of posts about it on various webmaster boards, its easy for them to get that info with or without godaddy

JD 12-15-2006 08:23 PM

rofl at all the hate towards black hatters. The only reason you're talking shit about them is because 1) you're jealous and 2) you can't pull it off

True, but if you put fake whois on each domain... google had really no way of knowing which domains are owned by the same person...

It's not hard to have many different DNS servers on many different class c ips...
and really, they can only guess that if dns is the same, it's the same owner... if they have the go daddy data, they would be 100% certain who owns what domains...

madawgz 12-15-2006 08:58 PM

hmmmmm one step closer to taking over the world

I'm curious whether or not Google will be able to go deep into customer data of eNom/Godaddy. And if so, then does this also affect Namecheap and other eNom resellers?

Something to think about.

Xplicit 12-15-2006 09:58 PM

Yeah for the vast majority of us who dont have 1st page google results on our sites, this is good.

starpimps 12-15-2006 10:00 PM

i do blue hat seo

Wiggles 12-15-2006 10:48 PM

blah seo is seo, all in all its just a bunch of people trying to get to the top.

baddog 12-15-2006 11:07 PM

there is no such thing as white hat seo, if you are doing seo it is technically blackhat, google wants it all to be organic

I agree if you are trying to get top ranking it is not just natural but if you use xss to get 100000 inbound links fron .gov and .org sites you are smarter than organic. If that makes sence?

rounders 12-15-2006 11:33 PM

fuck the cheaters!

Well, thanks for giving the heads-up on news that you claim to have known about for a year but kept secret until it was public knowledge...

(i.e. you didn't know, you thought you were breaking news...)

And when you read someone "overheard" Matt Cutts at a show, you can make a implication (just like I did above) that either a) that person is full of shit, b) Matt was deliberately being overheard, c) you are full of shit.

Of course, I have no reason to believe c) but I'll go with a) on this one.

studiocritic 12-16-2006 03:06 AM

so the real question is, does GoDaddy hand over the names behind the private registrations?

if so, seems those of us who have Domainsbyproxy accounts have grounds for a nice breach suit.

if you could prove google used that data to penalize successful domains, the compensatory & future damages could be astounding

Carrie 12-16-2006 03:16 AM

What? A registrar is doing something that could fuck with your business and you're not all screaming "SUE THEM" and "MOVE YOUR DOMAINS"?

What a strange change from just a few days ago. lmao.

marko13 12-16-2006 04:01 AM

that is very good....

Phoenix66 12-16-2006 05:13 AM

Actually many of se spammers nowadays use domains they do not own - like spotblog and other domains that allow (intentionally or due to the holes in scripts) page creation.

Rhesus 12-16-2006 05:43 AM

- You don't need to be a registrar to have access to the zone files that lists nameservers for all domains of a certain extension. I have it too.
- I don't believe for a second that Google is able to 'look behind' whois privacy shields and such.
- Not all black hat SEO is the same.

Rhesus 12-16-2006 05:45 AM

Btw thread starter: source please? Sounds like a major breach of privacy rights and unlikely to be true at all.

Stop Please, pussy.org is up again. Its fuckin really rubbish to keep porn out of serps if someone is looking for it. Basic purpose of SEs is ro provide "relevant" results not fuckin non-porn results.

Please guys get a life.
