I am not sure how many people here are familiar with black hat seo. But let me tell you what this means ? now Google will have deep data off all the URL?s a individual owns and can relate domains to distinguish site theme along mutable domains per register whether it be owner or company. So now if you run black hat and white hat sites on separate IP?s Google can now tie them together and discredit your white hat sites for also owning black hat sites. Matt Cutts was over heard talking about this method at a recent convention.

I agree but some of those cheaters bring alot of search engine traffic to alot of affiliate programs in the adult industry.

Black hat SEO's are theifs, plain and simple. They exploit weaknesses in the system to steal spots from legit websites. I'm talking about the guys who base their entire business around exploiting Google. These people collectively steal more money from you in one day than Zango does in a year.

Black hat SEO is Search Engine Optimazation for hackers that use XSS cross site scripting, Cloaking, Parasite Hosting, Link dumping and many more.... methods to gain top rankings in search engines.

Seems to me that they are fucking over alot of sites.

Google has had the ability to get info on private domains for quite some time, google it, lots of posts about it on various webmaster boards, its easy for them to get that info with or without godaddy

It's not hard to have many different DNS servers on many different class c ips...
and really, they can only guess that if dns is the same, it's the same owner... if they have the go daddy data, they would be 100% certain who owns what domains...

I'm curious whether or not Google will be able to go deep into customer data of eNom/Godaddy. And if so, then does this also affect Namecheap and other eNom resellers?

there is no such thing as white hat seo, if you are doing seo it is technically blackhat, google wants it all to be organic

I agree if you are trying to get top ranking it is not just natural but if you use xss to get 100000 inbound links fron .gov and .org sites you are smarter than organic. If that makes sence?

Actually many of se spammers nowadays use domains they do not own - like spotblog and other domains that allow (intentionally or due to the holes in scripts) page creation.

- You don't need to be a registrar to have access to the zone files that lists nameservers for all domains of a certain extension. I have it too.
- I don't believe for a second that Google is able to 'look behind' whois privacy shields and such.
- Not all black hat SEO is the same.
