How do you stop windows from thinking mp3s are viruses?
Everytime I get a song from a friend over MSN, I try to open it and i get some stupid message saying windows denied access to this potentially harmful file, and it deletes it.
Using windows XP sp2 |
No clue bro, but here's a bump.

a bumpppp

If it's the same friend, maybe he/she has a virus that attaches itself to his/her MP3's, and it is actually a virus he's/she's sending you.
|
its not, i get it from all friends that send em

I have the same problem Myst. I end up not using msn to open the file but rather windows explorer -> open with...then choosing another player. 2nd time u do this it wont delete it anymore!

i have the same problem, fucking microsoft....
|
Maybe this Vista will fix this problem ?
|
is he sending you MP3s with DRM?

Same problem here when using msn, especially with .exe's. I just tell whoever is sending me something to zip it up first and vice versa, never had a problem with a compressed file coming or going.
