Drama?
One day soon this industry better wake up and find a way to stop the battles from within or do not be a bit surprised when you wake up one day and find yourself out of a job or worse yet sitting in some jail cell while the press is making a fortune off of your downfall. We know from the inside that you are either a pornographer or you are an advertiser, yet to the rest of the world do not think for one moment that they do not lump the two together and like it or not, you are a pornographer.
No matter where you happen to draw your personal moral lines at, no matter what you feel is right or wrong, no matter what you find distasteful or going to far. Do not be that person that casts stones at another's choices when it comes to legal material. It does not matter what form of pornography you make, promote, or endorse. Your flavor has just as many imperfections as the next when it comes time to have the spot light shined on you.
There are already more than enough special interest groups, organizations, lobbyists, politicians, lawyers, churches, and people who want to skin us alive and pour salt over our bodies in the public square than we need. The very last thing we need is to assist them in their efforts by tearing ourselves apart. We should be doing our best to organize correctly to fight them, than to rip each other limb from limb and allow egos and greed to prevent a unified front.
At no time is anyone telling anyone to ignore your own lines in the sand as to what is acceptable and unacceptable. Each and every person is given the choice on what they will and will not promote, produce, or be part of. Some will choose to deal with material that may have more risk attached to it, while others may decide that they will only promote very vanilla forms of pornography and use no picture or video content at all. However we all should be ready and willing to stand up for the most disturbing forms of legal material as well. We can not allow any legal chunks to be cut away from our body as a whole. Aside from the fact that it only harms us in the long term, no matter how far you attempt to distance yourself from it. It will always and forever be part of you and associated with you in the rest of the world.
I can not summarize this post as it is just rambling out of my head at a mile a minute. So I will just quote Aesop "United we stand; divided we fall."
