Well I guess I should have F5's the forums before posting this... it seems everyone already knows :P Sorry!

I still don't understand how anyone can support the idea that Iraq needs democracy... And democracy is far from a perfect system anyway. Remember the soviets trying to spread communism?

Saddam did what is right for a dictator, Iraq needed him during that period so who is to say he was bad ? Wasn't the US's purpose of invading Iraq to search for WMD ?, so if they didn't find any they should have apoligized to the Saddam and the Iraqi people and get out. Now the US has one hand in the cookie jar and a civil war on the other, that never happened under Saddam's Baath party !

The news of Sadam's impending execution makes me feel ill.

That we would fix a violent problem with violence just seems so?primitive.

So un-evolved. So contrary to the teachings of any spiritual/religious/political leader that I could put faith in.

I know its not technically being done under US law, but the idea of government sanctioned killing-as-punishment just makes me sick.

You think 'human' means something? It doesn't. We're merely animals with the idea that we're not animals. That is not intelligence at all. Perhaps someday we will evolve... but I believe we will wipe ourselves out long before we get the chance.
