hmm, looks good, but too small for me.
How much if you dont mind me asking.

cheekycherry 12-30-2006 01:19 PM

I got the GT upgrade with the bigger RAGE design 19" alloys for £19,500 ish... You'll have to xe.com for the exchange rate.

The standard one with 18" alloys and not GT I THINK is about £17,600

cheekycherry 12-30-2006 01:21 PM

(approx $40,000 US)

jesus christ, that is insanely exspensive for what that car is.

are car prices higher in britain all around?

-edit- i see this has already been answered. damn that seems steep.

cheekycherry 12-30-2006 01:26 PM

I think everything in Britain is more expensive, we kinda get ripped off as consumers.

But you have to factor in the fact that the dollar is worth about the same as a piece of toilet paper right now so that may make it seem more shocking.

(I know I'm shocked when I get my dollar checks - the vast majority of my income - and have to convert them and see my money go down the toilet) :(

smack 12-30-2006 01:29 PM

"Maximum power is now 201PS, reached at 8,000rpm"

what unit is that in? i am not familiar with it.

the interior is pretty sharp looking.

pornguy 12-30-2006 01:31 PM

to small for me as well.

karlm 12-30-2006 01:32 PM

nice car used to have the pug 206 gti 180 that was pretty swift

karlm 12-30-2006 01:32 PM

must say though for that price tag i would rather get a 330d or an older m3

cheekycherry 12-30-2006 01:33 PM

Brake horse power I think.

smack 12-30-2006 01:34 PM

if that's brake horsepower it seems a little low.

the civic si here in america is rated at 197 and it only costs $21,000 usd.

I'm actually kinda trading down from a BMW... I've got a BMW Z4 3 litre at the moment which I'm fed up with.

Yeah, a lot of CTR owners over here are moaning that it's no faster than the old one BHP or 0-60.

cheekycherry 12-30-2006 01:38 PM

But in its defence, it may well be quicker around a track due to improvements in handling etc we'll have to see (edit: I should say I've neither seen it or driven it before ordering, even the dealers don't have them yet).

Wouldn't really want much more horsepower through a front wheel drive car as it wouldn't be able to put it down as well and you'd get a lot of spinning in 1st and second gear. IMO

wyldworx 12-30-2006 01:40 PM

Wow that is a nice car and a pretty penny. Hope you know what to do with it....
it is an important thing to know

smack 12-30-2006 01:41 PM

with the right throttle control, anything is possible ;)

Its all in what you like. I just sold my H22a turbo powered Accord. Had around 40K invested in that. But with the power it was putting out.I have made a few 70K dollar Porche and several Mustang, and Camero owners envy me.

gecko 12-30-2006 01:43 PM

Mike Semen 12-30-2006 01:48 PM

Holy butt fucking christ that shit is UGLY! I'm a HUGE Honda fan but man... I'm really lost faith in Honda after the current generation line up...

Acura is the only thing keeping me from giving up on Honda entirely

Maybe in 5 years when they can afford it.

You'd giggle if you knew their "target market" for this car... I read it on a dealers email.

It went something like this:

25-40 year old
primarily male
Executive or middle management
£40,000+ per year income ($80,000+ approx)

etc etc.

VeriSexy 12-30-2006 04:35 PM

looks okay

Cyndalie 12-30-2006 04:41 PM

Honda's Rule!
Enjoy the ride :)

noooze 12-30-2006 04:58 PM

HAHA - u guys thinking 40 k $ is alot for a honda...

well before u go too crazy lets look at car pricess in my country ( nothern europe )

1 car = xx $
1 tax = xx$ * 300

= xxxx $

or in a other way - serveral years ago my parents was selling their 5 yrold Opel Corsa and got 13000 $ for it!
The car company did some clean up and put it up for sale for 19800 $

now thats crazy - at the same time I saw the same car, just newer, with sunroof and stereo in another eupean country, for 6800 $

damn - i really really need to get more money and move abroad :D

Vitasoy 12-30-2006 07:58 PM

JD 12-30-2006 08:02 PM

also, seeing as you can buy a LOADED Infiniti G35 for like $38K I seriously doubt that price tag would hold up in the states

twice over again

Spunky 12-30-2006 09:13 PM
