Which is better???

I'm looking to replace my internal hard drive in my laptop. One is a 160gig at 5400RPMs versus a 100gig at 7200RPMs they are both around the same price.

Which is better? Having a little more speed or a little more memory???

madawgz 12-30-2006 04:34 PM

go for the 100gb drive :thumbsup

Most people think that faster is better...I'm not sure, especially when the disk dies

VicD 12-30-2006 05:58 PM

try them both

spasmo 12-30-2006 06:10 PM

Extra speed is nice, but it uses more power. I can't imagine needing 160GB on a laptop though.

Okay. That wasn't helpful.

bigger is better :thumbsup

Fizzgig 12-30-2006 06:43 PM

Just put them both in. :1orglaugh

I'd pick the 100 Gb one.

tony286 12-30-2006 08:21 PM

I would go with the 100gig

starpimps 12-30-2006 08:52 PM

100gig at 7200RPMs ftw

VeriSexy 12-30-2006 08:57 PM

160... lower rpm means less heat

Dagwolf 12-30-2006 09:27 PM

I don't think the picture was really necessary...

gecko 12-30-2006 10:17 PM

I'd go with the bigger drive

Adultnet 12-30-2006 11:17 PM

Go for the better speed hard drive.

martinsc 12-30-2006 11:23 PM

yes, absolutely! in the my laptop is the big 100GB HDD in the slow 4200 RPM and i need the bigger one, go for the 160GB, every free available space rocks!

BitAudioVideo 12-30-2006 11:40 PM

id go with whichever one is made by seagate.

Vitasoy 12-31-2006 01:46 AM

I'll go with the speed.

BigBen 12-31-2006 03:12 AM

Go with the 160gb. You'll fill up the extra space soon enough and may not notice a whole lot of difference with the extra speed of the 100. On the other hand, if you save everything to an external disk, go with the 100 and keep the speed of that drive.
