clientDeleteProhibit - what does it mean?

no one knows?

my guess would be that an auto renew is in place...

yah.... what does that mean??!

I think it means the registrar has locked it so that the domain owner can't transfer it; I saw it once before in a situation where someone was under investigation. That isn't gospel, though.

When a domain expires, it goes through a process until it is deleted..

Usually after expiration, it goes to redemption & then pending delete.. then deleted.

a clientdeleteprohibit does not get deleted, it stays with the registrar, so, instead of being deleted, the registrar holds it to resell, or it has backorders in place for it.

This is my guess, so it could be wrong

Its on alot of my domains, and I am not under investigation, so I dont think it means that. But I would like to know...

It's essentially a sub-status of REGISTRAR-LOCK. That specific part means you can't delete the domain.
