ICQ orphaning clients?

Anyone have this problem recently? Half my contact list is "orphaned". Extremely annoying adding contacts back. If you've got a solution, please share.

Thanks in advance.

are you using ICQ or a program that is supposed to include ICQ, like Trillian?

Yea my Trillian did that a week or so ago.. I re-added them and it hasn't done it since.

Trillian always does that to me. If someone knows how to permenantely fix this I'd be happy to learn.

Click Start, control panel, Add or remove programs, Scroll down to Trilliant hit uninstall

and bingo no more problems with it deleting contacts

Therein lies your problem, and your solution.

Trillian did that to me the entire time I used it. I finally just went back to regular ICQ.

It has been suggested a couple times already.

trillian is doing it, but I switched to trillian because the icq software would disconnect and never reconnect, so trillian is the lesser of 2 evils

Is there another program out there that can run 2 icqs at the same time like trillian can?
