Do cam sites come after u if you rack up a huge bill and dont pay?
A friend said he racked up $1000 in one on one cam charges so far in january. He didn't mention which site it was on but he did say that when his card gets charged it'll be declined because he doesn't have enough on it. I told him they'll probably come after him with a collection agency, he doesn't think they will.
Anyone know how the cam sites handle situations like this? |
I would doubt it simply because they just don't have much leverage. Without an SS# on file, it will be near impossible to report them to a credit agency. Even then, you're talking $1000, which is probably not worth the hassle.

lol - your friend has the problem.
|
Sucks for the site note checking the credit card has fund before allowing people to view.
|
he'll soon meet a russian incasso team
http://www.moskau-inkasso.com/ they promise: he won't have to speak russian to understand them :-) |
Lars will show up. Surfing is a euphemism for "you're fucked".

Most sites ding your card first. I think your friend might find his card put it through.

I'm not aware of any cam site that lets you use credits in advance. |
Is it a credit card? My wife has a relatively low limit for, uh, "safety" :winkwink: and although she gets charged a hefty fee if she's overdrawn they usually still authorise the transaction that takes it negative. So your friends charges may have actually gone through.
|
sad fucking excuse.. the thing that will happen is the girl will not get paid her share for the work she had to do to please this fuckface and the company just sucks it the fuck up. Your friend should have his balls kicked in..hard.
|
um, you load in credits, they don't do any "pay later" deals

Not with Ifriends |
The charge will go through, most banks allow you to overdraft and hit you with a nice overage fee
|
Haha, "a friend"....

couldn't I just sign up with a card that only has $100 left on it, charge up $1000 in shows, then cancel the card and run? |
The chathost takes the brunt of bullshit. If it never collects..he/she never gets paid. Ifriends does not allow the hosts to see if the person ever pays either. If it collects at first then comes up a "fraudelent" transaction later..it comes out of the hosts next paycheck.
Yes, you could do something like that..guys do all the time. |

I'm going to try that one day

a friend in need is a friend in deed. A friend with creed is better!!! Grow some balls clown!

If they grow any bigger, your mother's going to have bruises all over the front of her neck.
Interesting stuff. I knew that some cam sites collect credits up front, while others just seem to do a charge to the card after the fact. Sounds a lot safer to do the prior, at least with this type of fraud. |
