For those of you in college
 

Are you allowed to keep your tests? Granted, it's been more than 25 years since I was in college but we were always given back our tests so we could see what we did wrong and use them to study with. Ditto with high school.

Now I'm being told the tests are "copywrited" and ergo, we can't make copies or copy the ones off the internet to use to study with. They are going so far as to say it's ILLEGAL :helpme When I was in a classroom 2 semesters ago, they would fax us back our grades (teacher was at another location), but again, not the tests.

I have to say, the average age in most of my classes is over 40. We're a little past the "stealing to help others cheat" point - we just want to see what we did wrong so we'll do it right for the finals!! :mad: :mad: :mad:

Is this common or just my crazy little school?

It depends on the professor, I would say in my experience it was half/half. alot of them didn't want their tests out there so you wouldn't give it to students taking the class next qrtr/semester. This is especially with multiple choice tests where they tend to reuse the questions.

Damn. I guess cheating just got too big. We ALWAYS got our tests back in the "old days". It was the best study guide around :(
