I posted a thread back in Nov about visiting there....we'll now I'm moving there in a few weeks. Would like to know who to ask if/when I need advice or get lonely (for friends/hangout/networking...I'm married so not 'that kind of lonely' :1orglaugh ).

Forest, 30 years of sunshine and it's time to move on. There is more to life than weather, and we really want more for our money for our first home when we buy. Given taxes are a bitch there, homeowners insurance for Floridians tripled and quadrupled up to 10k/year for most people I know that own. You would think there was a mass exodus from FL to NC about now....but I dont think the Carolinas are for me (yet)...more for your money is what our age bracket is thinking, working so hard and doing well, but showing little for it in the end.

and work is good for us there too. Time to mix it up a bit and challenge ourselves :)
