FACT: Manual transmissions are not safe, and here's why:
 

You have two hands, one is for your cell phone and one is for your cigarette and beer. Clearly, having to shift is not a safe driving situation.

Make your ho hold your cell and beer and cigarette.. i will never buy a car with an automatic transmission, it takes all the fun out of driving..

I actually wanted my son to have a manual when he turned 16 BECAUSE it makes you pay more attention to driving. But I got too sweet a deal on an automatic Maxima to pass it up :(

yea, same here, but everyone now a days drives an automatic, hard to find a manual for sale...

When I was taking classes on campus Tonda always seemed to call me when I was driving the Wrangler with manual AND pulling up to Wendy's so I had to shift, talk (no bluetooth - well, I have it but I can't find the headset), AND manually roll down the window. THAT'S agility :)

I have two bitches who ride with me in the Wrangler, but without opposable thumbs, they are somewhat limited :(

manuall all the way for me... automatic is for 80 year olds who cant hold their drinks, type sms', jerk off and shift while driving..

learn to multitask. you have a cup holder or between you legs for your beer, a shoulder and ear for you phone, a knee for steering if you need and a hand to make the shifts. That still leavs an extra hand to do whtever you want. Oh i forgort the smoke...that goes in your mouth. if slash can play guitar and smoke and chad smith can play the drums and smoke, etc. then I'm sure you can drive and smoke too.

ps. Automatic makes driving boring as hell.

The downside of having a manual car is everytime I need to shift, I need to ask the hooker to stop blowing me for a sec so I can reach the gear shift :(

You forgot one point. Having to shift in the middle of getting a BJ while driving is very inconvenient.

I drove a manual with a broken right collar bone. This was in the days before cel phones or I probably would have had one of those too. LOL

These days I own two hybrids (prius and highlander). They don't make those with manual transmissions. :(
