i did a quick search for anothersite.co.uk using the search feature.

Only found one post from a surfer talking about some crap.

P.s. Can all program owners check if their content is on that site, its big enough.

I know I have seen you on surfer boards before and you know how it goes. The surfers complain about leechers taking "their content" when infact they are the biggest leechers of them all. They all try to get their faggot rapidshare points so they can buy more porn passes to steal and rip.

You decide to make some money from these guys with FHG's and they say no spamming. and porn must be free.

Yet they are only doing this for ad revenue etc.

i've come across my content being shared in the same fashion and wondered what to do about it myself, but i don't think targeting the forums themselves is the real answer personally... its fucking rapidshare in my eyes.

the forums, while disseminating links to the content, aren't ever hosting it are they? no different than legal services like newzbin.com, which indexes the usenet (please note this is very different than GUBA, which not only hosts the indexed content but also re-encodes it for download by its customers... obvious theft).

is there a way to report rapidshare abuse and get the content deleted, kill off the accounts of those who are using the service to distribute stolen content? usually what i see is links posted to their rapidshare folders, w/ passwords to access the folders supplied as well. will rapidshare do anything or not, has anyone contacted them w/ demands to remove stolen content, how do they react?

again, targeting the forums seems a losing battle, but if we could do something about the hosting of said stolen content instead there wouldn't be much reason for the forums to continue?

i wouldnt go using the search feature on that site if you don't want them trapping the search queries and finding your site to leech it.

Airek and I were talking about this yesterday, sites that have been around for a long time have got to know their content is available for free all over the web, just the nature of the download feature and the ability to use free hosting. sucks

Scottybuzz,i must inform you there was one thread on gfy with 133000 views.Also stealing content is something which is very hard to stop.Yet again i was notice programs owners dont care a lot.For example i was send icq message to one program owner link to site which was full of download links of his content and that site was on blogger where is enough to report to google to remove site and he didnt do nothing.

report the site yourself to blooger then klen.

is this casual attitude from program owners because they have made their money in this game and they simply dont care?

They have been battling with this shit for ages and its like they are battling against more and more.
Like I said previously phun.org and shooshtime.com had to remove all videos from their sites due to lawyers.
I would love to see this site fall down a similar path.

As much bitching as affiliates do its fairly useless as we are powerless to help ( unless you own material being stolen.)

Its important the copyright holders know their material is being stolen..Thats about as far as can be done..

The rapidshare site problem i think could be solved alot easier.. beat them at their own game legally.. If everyone on gfy hotlinked a picture from them their servers couldn't handle the load.. Make them pay for their theft through bandwidth fees

but then again getting gfy proactive about something longer than 5 mins is damn near impossible.
