So I want to remodel my kitchen... gimmie a hand

I want to get my kitchen completely remodeled... new appliances, new cabinets, new hardwood floors and a little bit of a layout change...

Now my problem is, where can I find an awesome interior architect / designer that can do exactly what I'm looking for and give me professional mockups, etc?

I'm not talking about some home depot, craigslist crap... some real pros? Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Pretty sweet layout, try maybe your local BBB for references?

Use your local phone book and any professional companies will put together a mock up, vision, plan, and budget with you.
Ask for several refferences.
Then while your at it also check court records, since the BBB is about as useless as tits on a bull.
Also find out what trade organizations they belong to, most should be very open with this information.

Lastly plan out the ass. Living without a kitchen for awhile sucks in such a way mear words can not describe it and you really can not just take off and go on vacation. You need to be close to monitor everything.

Whoever you hire is going to love that. It's a total blank canvas.

i always set up my own, what i do is visit http://www.360house.com/ and look thru the home tours to pick different things out that i like. where do you find those guys that do it on those house flip shows? they really seem like they know what they're doing, it will probably cost an arm and a leg but if thats what you want it they would do an awesome job.

The best dishwasher on the market is from Fischer Paykel. The dish drawer. So cool and whisper quiet. You can run two loads with different settings -- gentle for crystal and regular wash for pots and pans -- or just half a load in one drawer.

You have to see one in person, though. Their site photos don't do it justice.
