I didn't see the match, but I'm somewhat surprised, since Serena struggled and often looked somewhat flat in the last round...

Good for Serena though. I would like to see her stay healthy this season and play more tournaments.

LOL, if it was Venus, I would have made that statement (assuming you meant "beat" a woman), but Serena ain't half bad lookin' though. I was wondering when she would return to dominance...maybe this is her year. Interesting year with Martina "Forehead" Hingis making a comeback too. I would have actually preferred to see a final with Serena and Hingis, with Serena beating the piss out of Hingis like she used to.

Crazy part is Williams entered the tournament ranked like 81st place but after winning is now 14th overall I think...gotta love events that are ahead of our time so we can wake up and get the scores :)
