California looking to BAN incandescent light bulbs
A California lawmaker wants to ban the use of incandescent light bulbs in order to conserve energy and reduce greenhouse gases which are linked to global warming.
The "How Many Legislators Does it Take to Change a Light Bulb Act" would ban the use of incandescent light bulbs by 2012. Instead, compact fluorescent light bulbs (COLS) would become the alternative for California residents. "California is the first state saying that we're going to phase them out," said Levite, the California assemblyman who first proposed the initiative. |
as long as they don't ban high pressure sodium lights were cool. :winkwink: :pimp

This is a great idea. I am sure they will do it and it makes sense.

i hate those flourencent energy saver bulbs. they don't give off near as much light. not to mention i don't want my house lit like an office.

I don't use anything buy the florescent bulbs now.
Saves me a ton of money. Not only do they last longer (years!) they cost less to use. |
