Anyone use Adbrite? Do they have USA traffic ?
 

I feel robbed.

I set up an account with adbrite earlier this week and I am waiting for the account to be approved. I got about 50 things going on at once so not something I check on often, as I monitor my hits coming in several times a day I don't see any traffic from them so I figured it still had not been approved.

I notice a nice little jump in traffic just after midnight tonight, about an extra 30 hits a minute coming in, so I check and it is from adbrite. 2 minutes later I got a signup... fucking right hunh? looking good.

tilll I logged in... I see i have sent 1500 hits so far and I have spent $300 already. Apparently what was happening was since i set a daily budget of $100.00 (thankfully) so each new day, they flipped the switch on and i got nailed and in matter of 20 minutes and then I was maxed out. So I did not notice this through out the day as i checked my stats.

The thing that really pissed me off was when i set up the campaign I selected geotargeting and United States only. I see now my campaign is set to " any traffic ". I go to check ips and 80% of them are Asia Pacific Network, NOT ONE is from the US. So I take that off and click again to only accept US traffic.

In the last 20 minutes I have had 5 hits come in since I made the switch to US only. 4 were from Asia and 1 from Amsterdam. I guess they were from people who already had the page loaded. 20 minutes and still no US Traffic.
It is amazing I managed to get 1 signup.

Anyone else deal with this company?

Still getting about 1 every 2 - 3 minutes and still not ONE fucking USA hit.

Does Adbrite block the USA ?

I have dealt with them in the past and never had that particular issue

contact them and work it out, they are really good about clearing up issues like this

Have you gotten any US traffic from them. I swear I still haven't gotten 1 hit from the US.

the adbright site is down for me and has been for a couple of days at least for me.

I have been contacted by Will and I am addressing his issue.

I buy text links all the time, I learned the hard way because most say the traffic is from the USA and about 3% of it really is. They do not check with the site owners that run text ads through them. I bought over ten before I finally found a good one that sent real traffic. Just buy a text link for one day on any of them and you will see the trash you get sent and it says right on the page that it is from the USA and sometimes they will name one other country.

the whole network is full of click fraud and shit traffic. start a campaign for tampons and choose categories for woman over 35 or whatever and watch all the bit torrent sites, warez sites, gaming forums and other bullshit sites that end up sending 90% of the traffic.

it works best imho on a site by site basis. unless you are really watching every referring URL and tracking ROI and actively pausing bad traffic sources, ppc is not a very good way to go.

Pleasurepays said it a lot better then I did. If you know the site and the traffic it gets then go for it. But you can set up an account with them, buy all shit traffic and charge whatever you want and all the people who just "try it out" get fucked. There are always more where that came from. I wish I could find the log for the day I bought my first few ads. 1% from the united states and there were so many countries I had never even heard of on the list. Bump this thread a few times everyone, I wasted a lot of money on this fraud. Maybe AVN did not do it but they sure do let it happen.

I never had any any problems with AdBrite.


It saves me a lot of time for me not to manage the ads constantly.

Never had problems with them. Just take some time finding the right sites to advertise on.

I had to burn through some cash before I found some sites that sent traffic I was looking for. There system seems unable to send just US traffic no matter what you select as my experiences are much like others in this thread.

I only display ads. Much like only using google adsense or yahoo's equiv. Most of my traffic on my sites is american so I dunno what to tell ya.

Here is an update.


I have been in contact with Kevin and he is looking into it. I was told to contact support and they should give me a refund ( we will see ). I would be fine with everything if I selected to accept shit traffic, but I didn't.

I still haven't received any US traffic but Kevin is trying to figure out why this is the case.


As far as PPC, I just look at my time + cost vs profit. If it makes me money and the end of the day and doesn't take much time I am fine with it. If not i dump it and try the next company.


Anyone have any suggestions on other sites similar to Adbrite to try ?

how did this work out, I wasted hundreds of dollars with their site, Can you tell me who you spoke with Will?

We were spending in the low xxx,xxx a month with them for a while. I was really happy with the traffic and targeting.
