This was a gallery from a 2257 complaint site with all models over 18 years. In addition it was a softcore gallery.

I have emailed cbill but received no response yet. How can I get the account activated again? Has this happened to anyone else?

Is there an ICQ ccbill support I can contact? Any advise appreciated.

corvette 02-13-2007 09:45 AM

forward me the email, ill make sure that at least another set of eyes get a look at it. That said, if it was deactivated by us (versus the client you are promoting) there would have been a reason for that

I don't know mark, it kind of looks like you're slacking. It almost took you 2 whole minutes to respond to a CCBill thread this time....................

Hmm I now see what might be the problem, as the gallery is posted at a tgp not quite 'legal looking'. I have never submitted to that tgp however, and the recips on that gallery dont have that tgps recip image. I guess they picked it up from elsewhere. Can I be faulted for that?

If that is the case, I don't see why you would be. People leech galleries from other sites all the time and there is not much you can do about it. I guess you could block that specific domain's visitors from accessing the gallery with htaccess.

I dont know - but there are quite a few sites (TGP's) that steal others galleries and post them -i get reffering URL's to from places ive never submitted galleries to.Seems kinda shitty / watch you server logs for that kinda activity. I would report it to the sponsor im promoting and have them report it the CC prosesser (just to cover your own ass).
If this was the case , i cant see them fucking you over for somthing you had no control of:disgust

silver 02-13-2007 10:18 AM

Also if the account they fucked up in question was a decent amount of money , you may wana try to take legal action against the place(site) that ripped your gallery and caused you damages (thats if you can find out who they are).

Thanks, but I just want to get promoting again. I figure ccbill will activate the site again and I will setup htaccess as evildick suggested. There's around $350 monthly recurring in that account I dont want to lose through no fault of mine.

had not gotten your email yet

rowan 02-13-2007 01:13 PM

Hmm... this isn't the first time that ccbill has deactivated an account because of a link from a third party site...

So what is happening exactly, has someone copied your gallery (including your refid) and they are hosting it on their own domain? Or is someone linking to a gallery you host? Or something else?

A tgp is linking to a gallery I host. That tgp has thumbnails displaying apparently questionable materiel. I have not submitted to that tgp, they must have picked up my gallery from another tgp.

That was the same prob another webmaster had. To be fair, ccbill cannot be expected to know that you don't own the domain, but they need to understand that the net is based on autonomous linking... like it or not, you don't need to give someone permission to send you traffic...

Yeah hopefully it will get sorted out soon..

ro8in 02-13-2007 01:47 PM

Ok wait a minute...

That's a real issue. One sponsor I'm promoting has found it's gallery with my ref code on some shady TGP as well. The owner of that TGP just grabbed the random links from FHGStore.com as they are (i.e. with my ref. codes on them) and used these links on his TGP. Fortunately that sponsor knows me for a long time (we even have a couple of joint projects with them) so the guys just noticed me about this issue and haven't closed my account. After that I found the ICQ of that fucker who used the links with my affiliate codes on his TGP (actually it was really below the line one...) and make him to remove all that links.

However, what it I was unable to contact that guy, or what if the sponsor who found their galleries with my code of illegally-looking TGP haven't know me for year? I believe they'll end up with closing my account for sure. So there is a question. How we could be responsible for some fuckers that use the galleries with our affiliate links on their shitty resources? Is it right to punish an affiliate for some other person who using his links on shady TGP's?

Will be nice to hear an answer from CCBill guys for example. What's their vision of such incidents? Is the affiliate guilty by default?

Toonlogos 02-14-2007 09:43 AM

I just hope this leads to suspension of the account which they can reactivate without any loss of rebills..

silver 02-14-2007 09:59 AM

Heard anymore ?
Did you get your account back ?

Yep, that's my understanding. ccbill must have assumed that the site was his.

I wonder how they even discovered this in the first place - simple referer leak, or do they have a bot that checks second level backlinks??

TheSenator 02-14-2007 10:17 AM

bump for justice.

TheSenator 02-14-2007 11:16 AM

So any updates?

Toonlogos 02-14-2007 02:13 PM

No updates till now, but I have sent the details to corvette via ICQ.

Toonlogos 02-15-2007 12:13 PM

Issue resolved. CCbill support contacted the tgp, which removed my galleries from their site.

Thanks corvette, for the prompt help!

rowan 02-15-2007 12:29 PM

And, the most important thing... your account has been resinstated, I presume? :)
