Does anyone use HSBCdirect.com?

I recently opened an account with them for a few grand and was wondering other people's experiences, both good and bad.

selena 02-17-2007 09:35 PM

I have been with them awhile, and also got both my son's stuff moved there.

I have zero complaints. :)

That's great to hear! Their interest rates are pretty incredible too.

Barefootsies 02-17-2007 09:48 PM

Yes I do.

No complaints.

I *think* I opted out of all that.

WiredGuy 02-17-2007 10:04 PM

I was on the verge of moving to them, but my bank beat out their interest rate by a solid 1/2 percent when they realized how much money I was about to move to HSBC. Since then, my bank's been giving me the best rates I've ever seen from any bank.

MarkDefacto 02-17-2007 10:49 PM

I opened an account with them a few months ago. Their bank transfers are slow as hell but their interest rates are good, especially the 6.0% promotional (5.05% regular).

Having a dozen or so bank accounts makes this a bit more difficult. I like to diversify.

I have two of their cards. Good rates. I remember getting one call from them before I even RECEIVED the card. I told them I was not interested, and that was that.

Although with almost everything I opt out of their offers, and shit. I make sure to uncheck all their default crap on those pages.

yeah, i hate telemarketers, so me being one part time, i take it easy on the people i call, if they say they arnt interested i remove them from the system, if i get caught my boss would probably flip, but i don't care, im sure hsbc wouldn't like their customers to be pissed and leave them because of a telemarketer who doesn't understand no

I admire your ethics, but wouldn't they run stats that would show this up?

eg

calls vs. closers
calls vs. no thanks
calls vs. no thanks and remove me right now or I'll KICK YOUR FREAKING ASS!!! :1orglaugh

the good thing about the company i work for, there is no trace of our conversation before we get into recording where we verify name and address and tell them the info we HAVE to, for the sale to be valid, and we don't get into recording untill the customer wants the program, any other way is if my supervisors monitor me, and to be honest, our programs are pretty good and our customers are nice also, so i get enough sales an hour to keep supervisors off my convos so they don't know

on a normal day i probably call around 3,000 customers, talk to about half of those, and get about 30-40 sales a day, goal is 2 sales an hour at 8 hours a day, so im WELL over goal

Please take me off your list. Seriously, it seems like I always get some middle eastern guy who is so determined to read his entire sales pitch before I can get a word in he just keeps going. Sometimes I just set the phone down on the desk and let them ramble away.

Kimo 02-18-2007 01:39 PM

They can't possibly be slower than epassporte. :1orglaugh

I plan on only transferring money in and not out, so I hope it works out well.

Oh damn, I just signed up for that, but didn't know about the promo. Sorry, I would have grabbed someone's refcode or promo code. Oh well.

koreancowboy 02-18-2007 07:28 PM

I use Chase and BOA...although no bank is perfect, they are ok, as far as banks go.

uno 02-18-2007 07:32 PM

I have 2 chase accounts also. BOA is anti-porn tho. I think Steve Lightspeed could tell you a horror story and also BoneProne.

no idea about any other companies but mine is from North East Iowa and the closet you will get to any of the "middle eastern" guy is Dre a black guy i work with who is probably the most ghetto talking guy i ever met... plus to have you removed from our list we have to call you and put your number in as a 52 on our machine, its not like i can go into work tomorrow and insert your number as a do not call, unless you want to give me your number and have me and a hundred other people i know prank call you like no fucking other... your choice :2 cents:

Prescription and Dental savings programs, some travel programs, like up to 50% off on shit, for like $1 for the first 30 days and the most expensive one is $11.99 a month after, some pretty cool packages i wish i would get a call from people selling the shit i do, i'd like to try some of it out, especially the allstate stuff we are selling, one is $1 trial and for that 30 days you get 4 airline ticket discount cards that are worth $100 each and you get to keep them for a year after you cancel

ok enough of that, i feel like im spitting out my whole spiel i do at work to get people to buy...
