They are real, they give you the money to play with and a time limit. Anything you win over the free money is yours upto a certain amount but their are conditions. Things like you can only play certain games, x amount of $ has to be wagered during that time and the bet levels are different. Also before you cashout you need to make a real deposit.

I've played poker online, but my heart really has always been with blackjack. Finally and recently, thank God we now have Elimination Blackjack!
