Another frontloading type is the Sears Kenmore HE and HE Elite series. Mine are going on 6 years old with no problems. They have two capacity sizes, 3.1 and 3.8 cubic feet. If you get front loaders I suggest getting ones that offer a pedestal also. The pedestal raises the machine off the ground higher. Less bending when doing the laundry.

(save the bending for something else)

I've got a Kenmore HE-4t and it rules... you can do like 27 bath towels at a time, fuckin' amazing. And they use the detergent that only uses a small scoop per load.
