No I haven't, and btw have you met my wife? Morgan Fairchild...........

Milkmans World 02-22-2007 08:32 AM

I worked with this guy, here's a little list of all the things he has said,

He's 23, has no qualifications but,

He's worked for MI6 in the bomb disposal unit,

Offered a job at Gatwick Airport to do safety checks on 747's, this job included a Mercedes company car and also claimed this job was just for 2 weeks.

He had a Ford Mondeo with a BMW engine and Subaru suspension, it also had a sub woofer in the steering column, a turbo on the exhaust and a button you press which makes the car steer to the edge of the road and stop. When he came to sell the car he received a phone call from BMW asking to buy it back so they could have the technology. he really said this, I'm fucking serious!!!!

His mate had a car, a vauxhall nova, that could do wheelies. (I think these are front wheel drive, not that a rear wheel drive one would be able to do wheelies)

He has a different girlfriend whenever you see him, but he told one girl he was a virgin, but he's also claimed to have a love child. Whenever he talks to someone who knows him a bit better he will admit he hasn't got a girlfriend.

Another guy at work was telling us how he got beaten up at the weekend and this bloke pipes up with "Oh that's nothing, I got shot and stabbed when I lived in Crawley."

and my personal favourite, he says he's on his third set of teeth.

I never get bored of passing on this guys bullshit, I know it's hard to believe but he really does live on another planet.

LiveDose 02-22-2007 08:36 AM

Funs in my family on my mothers side lol. They can't help themselves. I've acutally seen them break down and freak out about it but you can never believe them and thats the hard part.

dude it gets out of hand sometimes.
im just amazed at how gullible some people are to fall for the bullshit as well

ive always been able to spot a bullshit artist from far away

BlackCrayon 02-22-2007 08:51 AM

yeah, one of my friends was like that since i first knew him in grade 6 until after highschool. i guess these people fear that without these stories they won't be liked for just who they are. some times he'd know he couldn't get away with it around our group of friends so when someone else was around, the stories were flying. the rest of us would just roll our eyes. but he seems to have gotten better about it in his mid 20's or so.

StuartD 02-22-2007 08:53 AM

Absolutely everything I say is a lie, including what I just said.

nba4life2k 02-22-2007 08:55 AM

ex-girlfriend was a compulsive fuckin lier.....:Oh crap

Mike Semen 02-22-2007 08:59 AM

Yea I used to go to school with someone like this. His friends reunited page says he's working on a cure for cancer in between promoting club nights with Carl Cox.

LOL!

WEGCash Robert 02-22-2007 08:59 AM

I have a friend who is like that with girls. He lies non stop while he is talking to them and say shit that is just stupid and not true trying to impress them. It's funny and sad like you said.

dready 02-22-2007 09:02 AM

Most developers I've worked with. :P

SteveLightspeed 02-22-2007 09:42 AM

Remember Perfection Jeff?

Peaches 02-22-2007 09:48 AM

Oh, the list is long and sometimes distinguished ;)

Agent 488 02-22-2007 09:50 AM

the worst ones are those who forget their own lies during the course of a conversation -

if you tell me your last job was navy seals underwater bomb demolition expert don't tell me an hour later your last job was a bodyguard for a saudi prince ...

Adultnet 02-22-2007 10:01 AM

yep I knew one guy that never stoped trying to lie about all kind of things... :)

it ain't like that 'dude' . . it's more like 'sure, we'll be there for the shoot' . . and the stuff they tell when they do show up . . . . . you have no idea what's it like until you deal with the 'content' peeps on a daily bases . . it's really like nothing you've ever experienced in yer life -bmb

Mrs. Lenny2 02-22-2007 10:23 AM

Ugh, my sister-in-law is a compulsive liar and it drives me batty.

Examples:
She's a year older than me and we were in high school together. We were in the same science class when I was a junior yet she tells EVERYONE that she graduated high school at the age of 16. Uh huh...sure.

She tells everyone she's a natural blonde, yet has horrible dark brown roots most of the time. I've said to her in public "You have such pretty blonde hair. Why do you dye the roots brown?"

The list goes on and on but you get the idea. Some of the stuff is health-related to garner sympathy. I have no sympathy for her, of course.

everestcash 02-22-2007 10:56 AM

I used to know 2 people that were compulsive liars.
One was a girl from my college & i think she just wanted attention, the other one was a guy I used to work with. and i suspect he's kinda mentally sick.

JayDeeZee 02-22-2007 10:59 AM

The boy who cried wolf

I got a buddy like that....He's harmless but you can't believe anything the guy says.
One day he told me his mom died....Of course I didn't believe him

Sure enough she had died. I felt bad.

Penthouse Tony 02-22-2007 11:06 AM

The worst are the ones that are smart enough to only stretch the truth not completely lie. It makes it harder to nail them because there is a bit of truth in everything they lie about.

Solidus 02-22-2007 11:08 AM

Oh there are many ppl like that, nothing we can do about them.

BradM 02-22-2007 11:20 AM

Yes. Pretty much everyone who makes a "deal" in adult.

PersianKitty 02-22-2007 11:29 AM

Yep..

my ex-husband...

PK

MissMina 02-22-2007 11:31 AM

Yes I do.....

shekinah 02-22-2007 11:48 AM

Lying is a part of everyday life.. that we couldn't do something about:(
