How many times can you recharge rechargable batteries?

Seems like neither set for my camera holds a charge for very long any more . . . . or I am just taking more pics, but I believe it is the former.

Anyone have any input on this?

I have had mine for years. However, I would think that overtime you would need to replace them. Based on the fact that all other types of rechargeable batteries need to be replaced. IE laptop batteries, cordless phone batteries, cell phone batteries, etc.

Obviously this is not an exact answer...but I don't think there is an exact answer. I would try replacing them and see if that helps:)

Take the cost of the rechargeable batteries, then take the cost of non-rechargeable batteries. How ever many packages of non-rechargeable it takes to equal the cost of the rechargeable, double that #. That's how many times you should be able to charge them.

Let me get this straight.

Regular batteries = $3.00 for 2?
rechargeable= $25.00

So, I can get 8 packs for the price of a rechargeable, so 16 times is how many?

It just depends what kind of rechargable batteries you got.

Get some 2600 MAH NiMH batteries... best you can get.

Doctor Dre 02-24-2007 08:35 PM

You can charge them hundreads of time, they have no memory

hmmm, pretty cheap too . . . you have used them?

tolik 02-24-2007 08:45 PM

all depends from type of battery.

nicelcadmium or ionlitium

yes that's what nowhere and I are using for our flashs... we grab about 5000 pics a week on average and no problems with them so far.

Doctor Dre 02-24-2007 08:48 PM

(so we charge them about 4-5 times a week each...)

You can charge NIMH batteries over 800 times, not sure about the rest.

I am actually surprised that after so many years of self-picture taking you have done at shows with your small camera, you havent figured that out yet? lol

Exactly.

Ni-cads don't last as long as the lithiums. I use strictly lithiums for cameras, wireless mouse and keyboard, and I get far FAR more value from them than if I were to use regular batteries.

Antonio 02-25-2007 01:57 AM

more than 1000 times I believe

Star 69 02-25-2007 10:25 AM

around 5000 times
