.xxx - If you didn't say you were in the industry, your mail won't count!
Folks,
I've been reading the emails coming in and posted to ICANN. Almost all are opposed to .xxx, and I think many are from webmasters, but a lot of you aren't saying you're adult webmasters. you MUST say you're in the adult industry when you email. It is opposition from industry specifically that ICANN is looking for. Also, if you're outside California (or even better, outside the US) say that too, to counteract Lawley's ridiculous statement that "most of the opposition is from loonies in California" or some such. Also, if you have not mailed in the past month or so, PLEASE email again. ICANN is specifically looking at the issue of "industry support" now, so if there are a ton of new emails that clearly say they are from webmasters or others in the industry, it will definitely make a difference. I think a lot of the people on here just don't realize how crucial this is. It could be a bigger threat than Acacia, or the Visa regs, or the worst of the 2257 regs. PLEASE email NOW!! [email protected] Thanks!! |
I totally agree with your recommendation--thanks!

I just sent one too. This is totally unfair and we all should be sticking our noses into this mess and making it a victory for us.

I don't even run any adult websites I'm sending emails.
I've sent two in the past week so far. Honestly, I make my living programming for webmasters. Specifically adult webmasters. Less adult websites, means less work for me, less work means less money, less money means less opportunities from life. Tell icann to focus resources on .child and parents who have children can restrict the internet access at home to these domains. |

Contrary to ICM's subjective claims, I see almost ZERO Sponsored Community support for .xxx, but I do indeed see CONSIDERABLE opposition to it. Please permanently deny .xxx ---it's NOT wanted by the Sponsored Community, and it's not an appropriate potential legal mess for ICANN to become trapped into. Sincerely, Dave Cummings/D. 4 DAYS LEFT TO COMMENT!!! If you haven't sent your comment in, please do If you haven't mailed your affiliates, please do. If you talk to ANYONE in the industry, please encourage them to send an email. |
Sent another one and posted some information about this on another board.
I am curious, when did they come up with this new bullshit? They must be thinking people will just give up and not send in another email. This just seems like their style too, to change the rules after the game was underway. Just another sign that these people can not be trusted.......... |
