Listening to Rock The Casbah right now, what a cool song!! These guys have made some of the best music and coolest lyrics ever!!

yeah, god rest Joe Strummer's soul.

i just got back from cleveland yesterday. they had a special tribute to the clash at the rock and roll hall of fame. Most notably they had some of Strummer's original notebooks containg his songs, and two of his telecasters.

it was pretty cool actually.

just this week put sandinista back in heavy rotation. Definitely uneven, but a lot of really cool shit in there, either way.

My 2 favorites are the London Calling album and the self titles album.

Yeah, they made a few timeless masterpieces :)

So weird, I was listening to them tonight for the first time in like 15 years...

"ALL MOD CONS" Is another album i hold dearly...

i love the rock and roll hall of fame! the last time i went, though, was a few years ago. they had a similar tribute to jim morrison at that time. i got to look through tons of his notebooks and childhood drawings and stuff. it was awesome!

anyways.. love the clash! now i want to listen to them. :)

it was really cool. it was up on floor five. i think that is their special exhibit hall.

i really wish i had gotten to see the clash live, or at least joe strummer and the mescaleros.

he was, and still is a punk rock god. one of the finest musical minds of the last 200 years. although i will never be able to see him perform, getting to look at his original scribblings of lyrics, and his two telecasters was still really cool.

it sounds weird, but being able to look at his original writings and guitars is almost transcendant in a way.

yeah check out the jam.. its a mod revival band theres a lot of bands like that before the clash :)
