Watched the movie 300 last night...
 

I saw 300 at the midnight show last night and it was a pretty good movie. The trailer gave most of the movie away but the fight scenes were amazing and edgy performance!!!

Has anyone else seen it yet? What did you think?

On the way out the door now to see it. Most of the reviews have been good so Im hopefull.

most of the special effects are made in montreal I guess.

Yes, it was shot in the Icestorm Studios in Montreal by the digital backlot using bluescreens.

About time something good comes out of montreal ( In Film ) Remember Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000... I'm a shamed to say I worked on that :)

Not normally the kind of movie i go and see, but the trailer did look pretty good, so i'll defo be checking it out...

The IMAX showings for today were sold out by 10AM this morning. I'm so pissed, I have to hold off until tomorrow to see it now. I've been waiting forever. I can still see it in a regular theater but I wanna watch it the way it's suppose to be watched.

I have been waiting for this movie to come out since October...I would have saw it last night but I didnt want to be half asleep.

haven't seen it yet but definitely look forward to it, have been waiting several months

I saw the movie twice and I think I`ll go and see it again. It`s one of the best movies I`ve seen lately.

It also has giant mutants with axes for arms. It is not trying to be a historical account, it's based on the comic.

That's kinda like a German getting mad at ID Software for making them look bad in Return to Castle Wolfenstein. "Hey, we never really created an army of undead nazi zombies, You got it all wrong!"

I really want to see it.

I saw the movie too last night. I was hearing how great it was so decided to check it out. It was well done yes but if you've seen Braveheart or Gladiator you've pretty much seen 300. It's pretty much, hero leads army through vicious battle while the love of his life back home gets fucked with 101, but not half as good as BH/Glad. If you get excited by cartoonish special effects then yeah the movie is great. If you like a great plotline, just close your eyes and remember Braveheart/Gladiator while you wait for 300 to go to dvd.
