RegisterFly's credit card charge IS working although renewals apparently are not...

Been trying to get a domain out of there going on 2 weeks.

It was due for renewal, which finally took after several days trying and said "pending" for a couple days. The credit card charge showed up on the 8th, and the same day I got a notification from RegisterFly by e-mail saying the renewal is due (perhaps they are hoping for unnoticed multi-payments?). Odd thing, in my RegisterFly Account the domain shows as expired as of the 3rd of this month, while in WhoIs it shows good till March 3 2008. My info is still in the WhoIs although the domain is being held hostage pointing to RegisterFly's parking page.

The Authorization Code is blank so I am stuck there.:Oh crap

i have a similar problem... two domains expiring in two domains
should i bother trying to renew them or will they just take my money and renew shit

input appreciated

How did you get transfer codes? When I go into the config section where they are supposed to be there is a space that says Auth Code, but there is nothing there.

Scary man...especially the part about the auth codes not being there...Call them and get them manually!

Enom recently sent out an email to regfly account owners....
This is a formal notice to owners of domains which have been registered through eNom via its reseller, RegisterFly.com.

YOU MUST TAKE ACTION NOW TO RETAIN FULL MANAGEMENT RIGHTS TO YOUR DOMAIN NAME.

Although you purchased your name at RegisterFly, eNom is the actual registrar of record for your domains. As we are severing our relationship with RegisterFly, we are aware that this may have an impact on you as the domain owner.
Therefore we would like to offer this opportunity to assist you in securing control of your domain name directly with eNom.

Over the last year, eNom has become aware of an increasing number of complaints from dissatisfied RegisterFly customers.

As an eNom reseller, RegisterFly is contractually bound to adhere to certain standards of customer service in a speedy and diligent manner. Therefore, effective immediately, we have terminated RegisterFly as a reseller of domain names through eNom.

Our records indicate that you are the registrant contact for [number removed] domains.

HOW TO SECURE CONTROL OF YOUR DOMAIN NAMES

Create a free account at eNom using the link below. Your domain names will automatically be moved to the eNom control panel where you will immediately have the ability to manage your domain(s).
In addition, these domains will receive a discounted renewal rate.

[link removed]

There is no charge for this service, as eNom is already the registrar of record for your domains. Please reference our list of frequently asked questions page enom.com/migrate/faq.asp for additional information.
We look forward to helping you feel more secure about your domain management.

eNom, Inc.

former registrar for RegisterFly.com

P.S.: IMPORTANT! If no action is taken, you may no longer be able to renew your domain name or manage it in 30 days.
The domain name will remain registered in your name at eNom until it expires. Please take action immediately. Thank you.

Its past the date, so I'm not sure what will happen at this time.
I couldn't get mine transferred even trying to unlock domains and use the push.

If you noticed registeryfly has gone up in pricing for domains which also shows that enom dropped them.

I got the enam email and moved the domains to enam. Although I use namecheap and suggest using namecheap. Their system is accurate and on point all the time. I got recommended from someone here to use namecheap and have ever since.
registerfly is the worst company in the history of the world.

Where is this config section people are talking about?

chodadog 03-11-2007 07:24 PM

I can't find Auth Codes mentioned anywhere.

In your Registerfly account, click "Manage Domains". Select the domain you want the code for then click the contact link (it's the first one at top). A button will come up that says Config. Click that and scroll all the way down to the bottom (right) of the page that comes up for the transfer auth code, that is, if it's there.

that only applies to people who bought their domains a while ago. recently regfly was accredited and was registering domains under their own name. So if you bought domains in the last 6 months (i think) that enom thing won't do jack :(

Yeah... most of my auth codes are blank. 4 or 5 had auth codes, but the transfer failed because the domains were LOCKED!! Fuck me

Thanks very much. I was able to find Auth codes for about half the domains I have there. Just fingers crossed on the rest, i guess. Thanks for your help.
