Dell 8200, not that old but old enough. It still works, and its extremely loud. I have a couple of old Toshibas that came with windows 95, but it might be a project trying to dig them up.

The only one I could find is an IBM Thinkpad 701CS. There are a few more in the attic, but I'm not going up there with a broken foot.

I give mine away as soon as I get another one. I think the first one I had was a Toshiba back around 95ish. Or it was a Compaq. I had one and then the other but I can't remember which was first. This is my 2nd Dell and I'm looking to replace it soon. My brother still uses my old Dell that's about 8 years old (which is 80 years old in real life ;) ).

lorine 03-13-2007 02:32 AM

That thing looks amazing! :) From what year is that, early 1900s ? It has two floppys...why did they did that ?

Linkster 03-13-2007 04:59 AM

lorine - dont know about that specific model, but most computers didnt have hard drives back then - the only way to load a full program was using two floppys :) It also allowed you to load a program into the computers memory from one - and save what ever you were working on on the other

lot 03-13-2007 07:49 AM

You are talking about the oldest laptop...i can't imagine working at old big monitors...

gornyhuy 03-13-2007 07:58 AM

This is too funny. I found this in my storage unit and was wondering what I was going to do with it. Tried to turn it on, but the battery is dead.
