Do any of you guys use http://www.freeezinebucks.com and if so are payouts on time and good.

Plus how do they make money giving away $1 per e-mail addy, do they sell the lists or something.

XXXPaysiteDesign 08-09-2002 04:47 PM

Yes they pay and on time.

They make money through upselling.

wannabeapornstar 08-09-2002 04:47 PM

Tipsy 08-09-2002 04:47 PM

They do well for me.
Freeezine if you need a join code ;)

Oh - and they make most of the money the same as most e-mail type progs. Newletters and a site with a shit load of upsells on it.

Only problem I have with FEB is that they exit me to mtree's dialer, which auto-installs on my comp and doesn't remove itself from the startup list when I use the "uninstall" button, so I have to remove it through msconfig :321GFY

Tipsy 08-09-2002 05:02 PM

If it autoinstalls then you REALLY need to take a good look at your IE security settings. You've probably got all sorts of crap floating around on your PC by now.

Fletch XXX 08-09-2002 05:03 PM

I cash their checks, and they pay me on time and regularly.

I am forced to use low security sometimes, since I want to know what my surfers have to deal with when visiting my trades and such. While I may know how to set higher levels of security, many surfers do not.

Tipsy 08-09-2002 05:14 PM

You are? Why? A popup box telling you something is trying to install is far preferable to letting it do it and still warns you that the surfer may get screwed by your trade.

What a strange and to be honest stupid (letting anybody install whatever they want into your PC when you know how to prevent it can only be stupid) way of doing things. Still, your choice I suppose.

I won't go into details here, but it's possible (fairly simple even) to make stuff that doesn't do anything at the higher security levels, yet causes great annoyance/damage at the lower security settings (and I'm not just talking about dialers). In short, you'll either have to have low security sometimes or check out the entire source code manually to know for sure what's going on.

JimmyReject 08-09-2002 05:22 PM

Thanks guys.
