"Well, I think Bush is probably the worst president in the history of the United States. And I just don't understand how [the Democrats] could have lost that election."

As for the Presidency, I don't really think which party is in power makes a difference. At that level it is all controlled by special interests, money and the people that we never see, working behind the scenes.
