Hi

I am wondering which registrar would u go with?

Thanks

darksoul 03-18-2007 02:30 AM

namecheap

en21 03-18-2007 02:31 AM

sorry ... reason would be useful too

darksoul 03-18-2007 02:32 AM

godaddy has a history as taking things into their own hands
and suspending domains.
I wouldn't risk it.

thanks darksoul.. anyone with coupon here.. I am looking to change to namecheap

What is with GFY's hardon for Namecheap? They are a reseller and not a real registrar.

And another thing, just about every problem you read about GoDaddy was made possible by domain owner incompetence of some sort.

intex 03-18-2007 07:19 AM

I say godaddy ....:)

strobi 03-18-2007 07:21 AM

Moniker. Do a search on DN forum and look for the 6.95$ thread!

gornyhuy 03-18-2007 08:42 AM

I am split between namecheap and directly with enom. Just due to circumstances surrounding the registerfly meltdown....

I much prefer the namecheap user interface, and they give whois protection for free where enom charges.

martinsc 03-18-2007 08:44 AM

namecheap!

Barefootsies 03-18-2007 08:44 AM

monikor

:2 cents:

u-Bob 03-18-2007 09:29 AM

namecheap :)

Vendot 03-18-2007 09:34 AM

You probably cant go far wrong with moniker, but theyre spamming on namecheap threads has put me off dealing with them and i prefer the interface and service of Namecheap. Also, moniker service has gone round the bend recently as you can see in this thread:

http://domainstate.com/showthread.ph...threadid=75003

Stay away from Godaddy at all costs, they spam you to hell.

Agreed. I keep my registrations equally split between GD and Namecheap, just as a routine policy of hedging my bets a little. But GD even has good telephone support, which is increasingly rare these days.

As for the last claim about spam: not once in several years.

Violetta 03-18-2007 10:21 AM

I chose namecheap... Seems very good so far!

VeriSexy 03-18-2007 10:41 AM

That's what I use. I've NEVER had any problems of any sort with them.

Klen 03-18-2007 01:31 PM

Hard question.I using godaddy now but i heard some bad stories about them. But i also heard bad stories about name cheap so you lose one way or another he he

kektex 03-18-2007 01:35 PM

Namecheap or Moniker.
Apart from the Godaddy horror stories ( www.nodaddy.com and the familyalbum.com fiasco) their control panel sucks so much it hurts.

xsabn 03-18-2007 01:37 PM

godaddy ...:)

madawgz 03-18-2007 02:33 PM

namecheap all the way :thumbsup

vvq 03-18-2007 02:48 PM

go with moniker.

CaptainHowdy 03-18-2007 02:52 PM

GoDaddy, just don't host with 'em or backorder domains.

kektex 03-18-2007 03:10 PM

I have a lot of domains at Godaddy but I´m transferring them out to other registrars.
Check out www.nodaddy.com , this guy (big in the IT security world) got his domain suspended by Godaddy because someone in Myspace complained to godaddy that his domain had "hacking information". The guy runs a freakin security mailing list!
I'm not using godaddy again, especially not for adult domains.

HomerSimpson 03-18-2007 04:38 PM

NameCheap.com is #1 if you ask me!
