Boilersoft WMV Splitter - help

this little piece of software is very simple but fuck it won't do what it's supposed to do for me - i want to clip out a segment of a WMV - i select the start point which is in the middle of the file and the end point and click 'Split' and what it spits out is the video from the beginning and does end at the end point I selected.

i'm sure lots of you guys use this tool - can you do what i'm trying to do?

thanks

i guess for help you would first need to figure out exactly which product you are using. last i knew it was called 'BoilSoft' had you gotten it right i might have given you help. :)

Mutt I use ver 3.22 of Boilsoft AVI/MPEG/WMV etc splitter and it works fine for me. Are you sure that you are setting the in point properly? In my version you can visually see the blue bar from the start to the end on the slider bar and also see the timecode in and out over on the right of the app screen.

i have version 4.28 of Boilsoft AVI/MPEG/WMV Splitter and i can visually see a dark gray bar from star point to end point - and it still won't create a clip that begins at the starting point i selected. stumped.

Does the newer version have the time code on the right for the in and out points that you can set manually?

{start time - End time}

If that makes any sence to ya.

yep and yep to Jim and Martin. i set the start and end points on the slider bar and i can see the start and end point times on the right in text boxes.
i'm 99% sure i'm doing it right.

oh well.

That little proggie is so simple a caveman could do what you're trying to do.

Try re-installing it or even try istalling it on another pc. Sounds like it's fucked up to me. Or your source video file might be fucked, is it wmv9?

Not sure what the issue would be. Like BV said, try re-installing and see if that helps.
