Will work for FREE!! (but there's a catch)
I will do something for you for free. Sort of.
First of all before you waste your time reading this, you need to have a Burbank California business. It's not really free, I would need something in return. I would need payroll proof that I worked for you, and I would need a letter from you (the business owner) specifying work hours, on your business letterhead. Why? As it tunrns out our little girl is going to be starting Kindergarten in August. We researched the schools in our area and they are all shit. I mean like among the lowest scores in the valley. We're sending her to a pre-school now and she is doing really well. Our research taught us that the better schools on the east side of the Valley are in Burbank. One of the highest scoring schools in the Valley is Jefferson School. That's where we want her to go. But, California has this really fucked up rule about crossing districts. If you don't live in Burbank, you can show proof that you work there. So... if you have a business in Burbank and would be willing to say I work for you... I will. It doesn't get reported anywhere, I just need to show a document to the school saying I work for a company in Burbank. I tried telling them that I do a lot of business there but I'm located in North Hollywood, and they didn't seem to care. They want to know I work in Burbank, not just do business there. I can design, I can cut trailers, I can come and tell you jokes. I'll do almost anything to get a Burbank business to give me a letter saying I work there. |
Get out Photo Shop and make something that says you work there. If all you need is a letter head.

1)Drive to Burbank.
2)Find a UPS Store/Mailboxes Etc/or similar 3)Buy a "suite" PO Box for $50/year (its just lik ea po box, but it has a real street address and doesn't look like a PO box.) 4)Make letterhead for your company that has that address. 5)____? 6)Profit! |

Ok, I can get the license no problem. Now all I need is an address. I would go with what Gorny was saying. And I did think about that, but if they ever check it, it will lead them to a UPS store.
Does anyone have any Burbank office space they'd be willing to LEA$E to me for a few buck$? I just need a really tiny area to work in, say 1 foot by 1 foot? Dig? I'll take the newly leased office space and apply it to the business license, and that should be all I need to do until we decide we are going to move to Burbank. |
Good Luck RedShoe:)
