Did anyone ever read Lila ?

Was it worth it or an obvious milk of the concepts set forth in ZATAOMM?

Thinking of picking it up.

With that said, you should think about it like this:

Zen... is an introduction, more of a story, touching upon the concepts of Metaphysics of Quality and how Pirsig came to them through his madness...

Lila takes that beginning and expands it into a more fleshed-out philosophy, almost a formal philosophy.

So: If you like where the philosophy in Zen is headed, then go ahead and read Lila. If you want a much better dose of philosophy, though, read Allan Bloom's Closing of the American Mind if you haven't already.
