I've driven both and I feel more in control with manual but it's not everyone's cup of tea. I don't even think about gear shifting anymore, don't see why anyone would see it as big deal.

Depends how much smoke you want :2 cents: With an auto it's easier to keep the tyres spinning as you work through the gears and also less wear and tear.

Manuals are more fun to do a burnout in, especially if you like to clutch kick around corners :thumbsup

Automatic for daily driving...6sp for recreation.

also rush hour downtown in a large city (vancouver is a bad one for a smaller population)... have fun with your manual car.. god that gets annoying stop..go...stop...go.... i used to drive a mustang GT and it was a son of a bitch downtown especially in the god damn summer when it's 38 degrees out...

but yeah honestly I would rather drive a standard.. for most every day driving and stick for fun/sports cars.


I think the guy who feels "feminine" for driving a standard car has a lot more issues than that for sure...

I drove cars with all kinds of transmissions and in my opinion nothing beats manual. Some of the others might shift faster, but when it comes to fun factor manual rules. I think if you truly love to drive, you drive a manual, and this has nothing to do with muscularity. I always say that a real car has three pedals. :D

after sitting in my chair all day on the computer in a dark room and i walk the distance to get in my ride and drive to mcdonalds to order my supersized double quarter pounder value meal with mr pibb and a large chocolate shake while still in my car only to drive back and sit back down to eat i think i can handle the workout of shifting to drive around the block

all depends on what you drive. i simply prefer manual in most cars but hated it in my powerstroke.
